Favorite Surfski Race, Why?

My favorite race is the Surfski Nationals in San Francisco. It was the biggest surfski race I’ve ever been to, and by far the roughest conditions I’ve ever paddled in. It was challenging but extremely fun. |

| What you like about surfskis, surfski racing, paddling: |
As a young paddler, I love that I have found a sport that I am doing purely for myself and on my own. It’s something that I’ve watched myself grow up with, and I can actually see myself getting better with every race. It’s something I can love outside of school and see myself doing for decades to come (just look at my competitors *smiles*). It’s my chance to work hard, feel proud, and be at my favorite place: the beach. |
